arc Construction Management

This massive undertaking began in the spare bedroom of Alan Muncy’s 900 SF home in Jeffersonville, IN. The goal for starting his company was to one day not have to depend on someone else to support him or his family.

The guiding mindset behind the origin of arc was Alan Muncy’s sister Annette, who passed away in 2000 from Ovarian Cancer. Alan’s sister was his driving force and the basis for arc’s name. (his sisters initials)

The rest is history.

And So it Begins

arc began its story of success with the construction of a 10 home subdivision in Jeffersonville, IN, an office building in New Albany, IN and several custom built homes and basement renovations throughout southern Indiana and Louisville.

Home Sweet Home

arc purchased its first office building at 1630 Fabricon Boulevard in 2006. After redeveloping and selling the property for a profit, they moved to their current location just down the street in January of 2008. arc has remained at this location ever since.

Stop by and see arc’s unique vision for office space.

Starbucks Coffee

Starbucks was the first national tenant that arc independently developed and constructed for. These projects allowed arc to cash flow the company and grow as an organization. (22) different Starbucks projects were completed between 2006 and 2008.

arc constructed its first Starbucks, ground-up, in (53) days, start to finish.  This was the fastest construction time to date for any Starbucks project in the country. Starbucks then approved arc as a preferred Contractor/Developer and the rest is history.

Brentwood Meadows

Brentwood Meadows is a small behavioral health hospital located in Newburgh, IN and was the first Behavioral Health hospital developed, designed, constructed and owned by arc.

This innovative project completed at the onset of the recession led to a sale of the business model to a company that would later become known as Springstone, based in Louisville, KY. Since 2009, arc has developed, designed and constructed (9) behavioral health hospitals across the country for Springstone, totaling more than $100M. arc is currently under construction on a $20M facility in Englewood, CO.

Business First “Fast 50”

In 2009 arc was named to Business First’s list of Louisville’s 50 Fastest Growing Businesses. arc was #4 on the list and the only real estate, design, development and construction company included on the list. When asked how the recession affected our firm we simply said that “We chose not to participate in the recession.” What a great decision it was. We would continue to grow as a company and be included on the list for the next several years.

And we are just getting started.

SOHO Lofts

SOHO Lofts was a partially completed condominium project purchased from a lender through foreclosure in 2010. arc identified this unique opportunity in the new and upcoming east end of Louisville that would later become known as the NULU district.

arc completely deconstructed and re-constructed the (5) story building while providing the design, development, construction and interior finish of 36 condominium units. The units were completed and sold in less than 24 months. Due to the unique ability of arc to acquire, develop and market the property at a lower price point than anyone else in the market the project was an overwhelming success at the height of the recession.

Springstone, Inc.

arc performs its first “turnkey” development project for Springstone, Inc. in Dublin, OH.  We provided the real estate acquisition, land use entitlements, design, development and construction for a 72 bed, state-of-the-art behavioral health hospital that would later become the standard of design for all Springstone facilities across the country. Since completing our first project, we have developed and constructed multiple locations across the country including projects in Texas, Ohio, Indiana, Arizona and Colorado. What a ride it has been!

Eastern Commons – Clarksville, Indiana

In February of 2012, arc purchased the former Value City property in Clarksville, IN. The property included (34) acres along the Eastern Boulevard corridor. arc worked diligently with the Town of Clarksville to re-develop the property into a thriving mixed use development. Because of arc, there is now a new City Park (Gateway Park), Technology School (Renaissance Academy), Medical Office (Fresenius Dialysis), Indoor Baseball Complex (Rawlings Tigers) and multiple retail/restaurant buildings at this location. In addition, arc performed this redevelopment at the height of the recession.

arc and Verizon Cellular Sales

In the winter of 2013, arc purchased an outlot from the Target Corporation on State Street in New Albany, IN. The property would later become a Verizon Cellular Sales location, and would be the 43rd project completed for Cellular Sales since 2007. The now (8) year partnership with this Client is just one example of how arc values long term relationships with their clients.

Wesley Commons – New Albany, Indiana

arc completes the acquisition, design, development and construction of Wesley Commons in New Albany, IN. This mixed use retail development was a unique partnership between First Savings Bank and arc. arc assisted First Savings Bank with the acquisition of the property and provided all “turnkey” services necessary to complete the development including leasing and property management. arc recently helped First Savings Bank with the disposition and sale of the asset. What a great project start to finish!

Marriott TownePlace Suites

arc begins work on the Marriott TownePlace Suites project in Jeffersonville, IN. With the completion of Big Four Station Park and the opening of the Pedestrian Bridge connecting Jeffersonville and Downtown Louisville, arc identifies the need for hotel use in the city’s rapidly growing downtown historical district. arc teams up with Dora Hotel Company to design, develop, construct and manage the property. The largest re-development project in downtown Jeffersonville in more than (30) years.

arc Rebrands Itself

In 2016 arc continued to grow at a rapid pace and identified the need to better market our unique abilities as a “turnkey” solutions provider. We enlisted the help of the top web design firm in Louisville, OOHology, to help us with our vision. With a new logo and marketing campaign, arc is working hard to make sure the world knows we are here and can make a difference.
